Start with the whole journey
For a regular commute, school appointment or shopping trip, plan from your street address to the final destination. A stop near the destination is only part of the journey: allow for walking, road crossings and any change between bus and train. Check the return trip before leaving home, especially if your appointment may finish late.
Route 531 through the valley
Translink lists Route 531 as Springfield–Yamanto via Ripley Valley. The timetable includes Ripley Town Centre, Providence Parade at Splendid Drive, Providence Parade at Ripley Hospital, Springfield Central station and Orion Springfield Central. Use the stop closest to your actual address, rather than choosing a stop solely because its name includes Ripley.
Open the Route 531 timetable and select your travel date and direction. Stop names are reproduced from Translink; the hospital stop name is not a description of the services available at the nearby health centre.
Connecting with a train
Springfield Central station appears on the 531 route. Use the Translink journey planner to calculate a complete bus-and-train itinerary. Check the transfer time, departure platform and final walking leg. For an unfamiliar trip, save the destination address and stop details before setting out.

- Choose the correct weekday, weekend or public-holiday date.
- Check both directions and your last practical return option.

- If you need accessible travel arrangements, confirm your requirements with the operator.
