Ripley Road: what the three stages mean for residents
Separate the published construction scope from today’s travel conditions.
Ipswich City Council’s 26 November 2025 announcement set out three stages for the Ripley Road and Fischer Road upgrade. Stage one covers 1.1 kilometres between Cunningham Highway and Monterea Road, with completion then scheduled for the end of 2027.
Stage two covers 1.6 kilometres of Ripley Road between Monterea Road and Fischer Road. Stage three reconstructs 750 metres of Fischer Road. The announced scope includes a signalised Ripley Road–Fischer Road intersection, drainage and lighting, alongside walking, cycling and bus infrastructure.
These are the scope and target described in that announcement, checked again on 26 September 2026. They do not establish which lanes are open today or confirm that the construction programme is unchanged.
